BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION

The incumbent is responsible for maintenance, installation, and repair of U.S. Mission’s unclassified telecommunications program; this includes telephone, radio, satellite, microwave, fiber-optic LAN links, and all other unclassified telecommunications equipment and high speed day circuits. The incumbent works with local entities, such as the phone company, local business, and various government ministries for a wide variety of reasons, including procurement and repair of equipment, licensing, and host government approvals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. EDUCATION: Completion of Secondary School is required.
2. EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience as a radio communication technician is required.

4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use various Windows based computer applications is required. Must have a valid class B local driving license.
